Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is carrying the vision of rural development and its transformational change by using expert knowledge of higher education. Under this project Maitreyi College has connected with five villages of Gautham budha nagar (Jewar bagar, Bhabhokara, Maangraoli, Thora and Melwa gopalgarh). We have formed our team and had a meeting with Pradhans of villages and organises different events successfully from last one year. Complete Household and Village survey in the month of June-July 2021.

UBA, encouraged our teaching, nonteaching and students to actively participate in selecting the cluster five villages. Maitreyi College has well structure and dedicated UBA cell that consist of group of teachers and students from various departments. We have also well supported nonteaching staff who worked tirelessly at the time of pandemic. On the basis of extensive field survey of the said five village and identify at least few areas for improvements like ground water level, diseases outbreak due to over pesticide usage and farming related issues. The village level surveys aim at collecting primary and secondary data based on which the issues concerning the respective villages would be further taken up to an in-depth analysis. On the basis of identified problems in these villages we are also working to solve the issues.

Plantation drive was carried out in the following villages Jewar Bhanger, Melwa Gopalgarh, Bhabhokara, Thora and Mangroli. International Yoga Day’, Road safety awareness, covid awareness and cracker free Diwali is our main highlights and successful events that were carried out in these villages in last one year.
